Top 8 Killer Concerts of the Summer

Yeah, the summer always sucks for shows…see, I can’t even make a Top Ten list!
Obviously, mostly domestic bands, let’s get started!

Save the best for first, this Sunday 6/25, Born of Osiris returns to Gramercy Theater for their rescheduled date that was previously cancelled date when everyone went nuts over a few inches of snow. Not to be missed!

The Dead Rabbitts return with a new album and their first area headlining tour, coming to Knitting Factory! The rest of the bands are pretty emo-y, but it’s only $12 fucking dollars. Missing this would be stupid.

Today is the Day always deliver an ear-shattering performance of metal noise, and they perform their old classic album in its entirety at Saint Vitus Bar on 7/6.

Stabbing Westward returns, also to Gramercy Theater, on 8/19. The member’s other band The Dreaming have been performing some SW hits during their tour, but this trek will be strictly SW songs.

Swiss black/slave metal dude Zeal and Ardor play their first and only scheduled East Coast date at Saint Vitus Bar 8/23. $15

Swiss black/death team Bolzer hit Saint Vitus Bar 8/25. $15/20

Worthy American death metallers Abysmal Dawn return as support for Marduk at Gramercy Theater on 8/29

The brilliant Haken make their return from the UK. Highline Ballroom 9/2. Definitely not a show to skip!
