Sweden’s brilliant Katatonia finally return to play Irving Plaza along with the great Caspian and Uncured. Not the cheapest thing to do this weekend, but definitely the best. $30-ish
Boston’s triple threat of Junius, Cancer Conspiracy, and InAeona will captivate Saint Vitus Bar with epic dark rock. Well worth the $18.
The Hot Sauce Expo returns yet again to The Brooklyn Expo Center for the 5th edition from 10am-6pm. If you love the sauce, this is the place to be. As I’ve gone to all previous editions, I admit it’s really not the most brilliant event, but you can kill an hour or two if you’re with friends. $11.54 on Evenbrite, probably $15 at door.
The Hot Sauce Expo continues for day #2.
Local rockers FerreTT have a listening party for their new album, which was mastered over in Sweden at the famous Studio Fredman, where several classic albums have also come through. It goes down at Duff’s around 8pm.
